CHELTENHAM racegoers can “celebrate” after bosses opted to freeze the price of Guinness — at £7.50 a pint.

The Jockey Club, which owns the course, said today it had held prices of Guinness at the same level since October 2022.A spokesman explained the decision has been taken “despite being exposed to ongoing and significant increases to the costs of goods and services”.During the extravaganza, however, it shoots up to £375, although entrance to the course and an afternoon tea is included.
In an apparent bid to lure younger punters, Irish model and DJ Vogue Williams is booked to perform a set at the Centaur enclosure on day two of the meet, which starts on Tuesday.
