The trial is now live with 25 stores included in the rollout
It has been a long time coming but for the first time ever, Primark customers in the UK will be able to buy online and use the retailer's new Click + Collect service. .
However, as the discount retailer is only trialling the new service, locally, stores in Nottingham and Mansfield haven't been included in the venture as yet. Stores across the North West of England, Yorkshire and North Wales, are being targeted and here the new service will allow customers to shop online from up to 2,000 items across baby, kids and decorative nursery products and toys. Hundreds of new items and ranges will be exclusive to Click + Collect.
Paul Marchant, Primark Chief Executive, said: “It’s a very proud moment to see Click + Collect go live. This trial showcases the very best that Primark has to offer across kidswear, combining much more choice, great style and incredible value. “We’re big fans of the high street and we believe passionately that a thriving local shopping area benefits everyone in the community. Our approach to online is all about supporting and complementing our stores, which will always be at the heart of our business."What does that mean for Nottingham shoppers? Well, unfortunately at the moment, the closest store to Nottingham offering the service is Meadowhall, and Sheffield city centre.
