A CITY primary pupil has won the Lord Provost's contest to design a mascot for Glasgow.
Lord Provost Jacqueline McLaren, launched the competition to promote civic pride when she hosted the city's P7 pupils at the City Chambers.
Talented Fynn was rewarded with a return trip to the City Chambers after his professional-looking design was judged the winner by the Lord Provost, former Chief executive Annmarie O’Donnell, and Glasgow artist, Gerard Burns. His lion wears tartan trews, a People Make Glasgow t-shirt and a jacket with the individual elements of the coat of arms down one side where buttons might be.One of Glasgow’s most famous sons, Billy Connolly is also referenced with the mascot wearing the comedian's iconic banana boots.Readers’ comments: You are personally liable for the content of any comments you upload to this website, so please act responsibly.
