BREAKING: Clarence House this morning confirmed that Prince Charles, the 71-year-old royal, had been diagnosed with the COVID-19 disease after taking a test.
Prince Charles is the latest in a line of famous faces, including Idris Elba and Tom Hanks, to confirm they have tested positive.
It comes as UK researchers launched a free Covid Symptom Tracker app, which helps them determine the symptoms of the disease and track who may have it in which areas. The app asks users to fill in data including age, sex and postcode and information on their existing medical conditions. The team behind the app – researchers at King’s College London and Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals as well as the health data science company ZOE – said: “The concept is it is an early warning radar device because we are asking about non-classical symptoms as well, because many people are reporting non-persistent cough, or feeling unwell or a strange feeling of a lack of taste, or chest tightness that aren’t in the classical list but if we see it across the country in clusters we know they are...
