Staff working for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have taken the unprecedented step of speaking out about what they say it is really like to work for the couple
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex employees have taken the unusual step of sharing their experiences of working for the royal couple. Since relocating to the US four years ago, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have faced criticism for the high staff turnover rate at their Archewell organisation.
However, current and former staff members have now come forward to US Weekly to offer a contrasting view of what it's like to work for the Sussexes. Here are some of their statements... 'Supportive' In terms of support within the royal couple's team, their current global press secretary Ashley Hansen shared her own touching story with the magazine. After undergoing serious surgery, she was overwhelmed by the care shown by Meghan and Harry, receiving constant check-ins, thoughtful care packages, and flowers.
They also mentioned that when a staff member has a new baby, they are gifted "top-notch secondhand stuff" from the Sussexes like "like unused car seats and baby items they no longer need". Another current employee claimed that whenever they visit the Sussexes' Montecito home, they always leave with flowers, fresh fruit or a basket of eggs.
Friend for life Another high-profile former employee of Archewell, who left after a seemingly short tenure, is the organisation's former president Mandana Dayani. She served in her role for 18 months before moving on.
