A new book has claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were not happy with the original statement issued by the Royal Family in response to Meghan's Oprah Winfrey interview
Prince William and Kate were reportedly insistent on a stronger response to counteract Meghan Markle 's claims of racism within the Royal Family , as royal expert.
In royal expert's Robert Jobson's new book, titled Catherine: The Princess of Wales, the author suggests that the William and Kate pushed for a firmer statement. He claims: "The original draft of the statement had been much milder, but both William and Catherine had been keen to toughen it up." The book also also alleges that Prince Harry was given a "substantial sum" following the controversy surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's explosive Netflix documentary.
And now, in the new release, author Robert alleges that the relationship between the two brothers deteriorated further before the 2018 wedding - with William seeking reassurances from their grandmother, the Queen, that Harry's bride-to-be would not wear their late mother's jewellery - despite his wife Kate possessing Diana's stunning sapphire engagement ring.
