Meghan Markle and Harry are supporting mental health in a groundbreaking talk in the city five months on from their 'near catastrophic' car chase.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are heading to New York for a pivotal summit on mental health under the Archewell Foundation, which was founded by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex back in 2020 in a bid to drive changes across the nation.
Public relations expert Jane Owen believes that this is a great opportunity for them. She told The Mirror: "I’m extremely glad to see that they are stepping up and showing up for this event. Their attendance brings a huge amount of National and International attention to an extremely important cause."
Mental health is nonetheless a cause that has been thrust into the spotlight at the moment, particularly for Hollywood elites. Jane reckons the event will undoubtedly "help their reputation" as they commit to supporting causes they promised to deliver on. Harry and Meghan's return to New York comes just five months after their "near catastrophic" car chase involving the paparazzi when they were travelling in a yellow cab. A spokesman for the Sussexes said the couple and Meghan's mother Doria Ragland “were involved in a near catastrophic car chase at the hands of a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi”.
