Prince Harry was left 'furious and in tears' after he was evicted from Frogmore Cottage by his father King Charles following his move to the US, according to a Royal expert
Prince Harry was left "furious and in tears" after what he perceived as a "slap in the face" from a senior royal, which turned out to be the final straw.
Royal author Tom Quinn shared with the Mirror that the eviction from their Windsor residence was a harsh reality check for Harry, highlighting the growing disconnect between him and King Charles III. The cottage, a gift from Queen Elizabeth II for Harry's wedding, was taken back by Charles in March following the couple's Royal exit.
"Harry couldn't see that choosing to stop being a working Royal would inevitably mean being deprived of his Royal residence. Harry took it as a cruel rejection a painful reminder of all that he felt when his father fought with his mother during their long drawn out, painful divorce." After he stepped down from royal duties in 2020 and moved abroad, his publicly-funded security protection in the UK was removed. This was a decision made by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures , and has been appealed by Harry who is battling to reinstate his security when he visits the UK.
