Harry said there are some things he 'just doesn't want the world to know' after his memoir Spare was released this week
Prince Harry claims that he has enough material to write another book, but that he held back on some revelations because he didn't think King Charles or Prince William would 'ever forgive' him.
Gordon writes that Harry told her the first draft was 800 pages – double the final manuscript which comes in at just over 400 pages. Harry told Gordon that there were things he revealed to ghostwriter JR Moehringer “for context”, but there was “absolutely no way” they would be included in the book. The Duke of Sussex said it is impossible to tell his story without referring to family members.
“But the way I see it is, I’m willing to forgive you for everything you’ve done, and I wish you’d actually sat down with me, properly, and instead of saying I’m delusional and paranoid, actually sit down and have a proper conversation about this, because what I’d really like is some accountability. And an apology to my wife.”
Harry also revealed that he worries about his brother’s children. “And though William and I have talked about it once or twice, and he has made it very clear to me that his kids are not my responsibility, I still feel a responsibility knowing that out of those three children, at least one will end up like me, the spare. And that hurts, that worries me,” he said.
