Prince Harry has appeared at the Concordia Summit in New York where he talked about the Diana Award and his late mother Princess Diana with its CEO Dr Tessy Ojo
Prince Harry has been speaking openly about his late mother, Princess Diana, during a series of high-profile appearances in New York, notably without Meghan Markle by his side. The Duke of Sussex attended the Concordia Summit in New York, where he discussed the Diana Award, named in honour of his late mother, alongside its CEO Dr Tessy Ojo.
She continued: "I'm very grateful to have the Duke of Sussex with us. He is a passionate advocate for mental health. He actually said to me as we came in that actually we should no longer talk about mental health but we should talk about mental fitness. His dedication to this cause strengthens our mission."
Reflecting on his mother's legacy, Prince Harry expressed belief that Princess Diana would have been proud of the award recipients, praising their efforts towards societal issues. Commending both the winners and Tessy's longstanding contributions, Harry said, "I know that my mum would be incredibly proud of you guys, not just you, but all of the winners, and, Tessy – you've been in this for a very long time so thank you for that as well.
Currently on a solo visit to New York City, Harry is set to speak at several high-profile events during the United Nations General Assembly this week. Upon arriving in the city, he attended a dinner last night hosted by the World Health Organisation.
