Prince Harry will turn 40 on Sunday and will mark the milestone with a lads' trip away with some of his closest friends - but it seems he also had big plans for his 30th birthday, ten years ago.
Prince Harry is on the cusp of a significant milestone as he prepares to celebrate his 40th birthday in just a few days.
It was reported that William and Kate had planned an intimate birthday dinner for Harry's 30th in 2014, inviting family members including Royal cousins Princesses Beatrice, Eugenie and Zara Tindall, along with close friends, to Kensington Palace. A source informed the Mirror that Prince Harry insisted on postponing his 30th birthday party, despite much of the arrangements being overseen by Kate. "Harry was in no doubt that the party should be postponed, even though 30 is an important milestone. Kate had been very involved in organising Harry's party, and once she fell ill he felt it wrong to let the event go ahead."
Reports suggest Harry will embark on a journey with "closest pals" following his birthday celebrations, although Meghan plans to remain home with their children. People Magazine has quoted that Harry's trip involves a "gathering of close friends internationally", with long-time friend Nacho Figueras potentially among them.
