Prince Harry says he and Meghan Markle were 'brought together for a reason' as couple accept award
Prince Harry has said he and his wife Meghan Markle were "brought together for a reason" as he discussed their "commitment to a life of service".
A number of high profile names have previously received the award including Colin Powell, Muhammad Ali, Rihanna and LeBron James. He said on Saturday night: "Before I begin, we would like to acknowledge the people of Ukraine, who urgently need our continued support as a global community. He said: "I think it's safe to say that I come from a very different background from my incredible wife, yet our lives were brought together for a reason.
"For Black America, those nine minutes and 29 seconds transcended time, invoking centuries of our unhealed wounds.
