The Duke arrived in the UK last week - appearing at court on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday - before flying back home to the US. It was said that the five-bedroom Georgian property had instead been offered to Prince Andrew, who looks set to be moved from Royal Lodge - where he has lived since 2003 - as part of a shake-up of royal households.

The Sussexes lived at Frogmore Cottage before they stepped back from senior royal duties in 2020 and they paid back £2.4m of taxpayers' money spent on renovating the property.
