Although Prince Harry is a decorated member of the British military, many people will be questioning why the Duke of Sussex was not wearing his uniform at the Queen's funeral today . The Prince has served on the front line during two tours in Afghanistan but was wearing civilian clothes during the funeral as he is no longer classed as a working royal, thereports. Following on from his separation from the royal family, Harry was also stripped of his honorary military roles including Captain General of the Royal Marines, and protocol stated that only active and working royals could wear their military uniform at the Queen's funeral.
Prince Harry's spokesperson, Ashley Hansen confirmed in a statement before the service:"Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex will wear a morning suit throughout events honouring his grandmother. His decade of military service is not determined by the uniform he wears, and we respectfully ask that focus remains on the life and legacy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
