Kate, Princess of Wales visits the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University in Cambridge The Princess of Wales has visited the Centre on the Developing Child at Harvard University ahead of a meeting between Prince William and US President Biden on Friday in Boston, on the final day of theKate visited the centre as part of her work on early years development. She was pictured wearing a dress by New Zealand designer Emilia Wickstead.
Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales arrived at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, acknowledging the role that President Kennedy’s Moonshot played in inspiring his Earthshot prize. He was met by Ambassador Caroline Kennedy and her children Jack and Tatiana Schlossberg. The trip will conclude later tonight with the announcement of the winners of the Earthshot Prize, the prince’s charitable initiative that provides funding for environmental entrepreneurs at a star-studded ceremony.
The location of the meeting has resonance for Prince William as he said the Earthshot Prize was inspired by President John F Kennedy’s “Moonshot” challenge to put an astronaut on the moon. The prince will view exhibits at the library including material from the lunar mission. The three-day stay in Boston is the royal couple’s first overseas trip since the death of Prince William’s mother, the late Queen, on September 8. They had previously attended a reception at City Hall and a Boston Celtics basketball game, and met with representatives of green tech businesses.More on
