As part of his visit, William met students who had participated in the 2024 Urdd Eisteddfod, a week-long festival celebrating Welsh language and culture. After shaking Ruby's hand and congratulating her on her achievement, the Prince shared that his own daughter, Charlotte, is also passionate about"performing" and"dancing".
Little Ruby, from Ysgol Gynradd Swiss Valley, Carmarthenshire, could not contain her joy after winning at the Urdd Eisteddfod in Meifod, PowysRuby then presented the future king with a book of postcards written by the students, along with friendship bracelets for his children.
