Lady Gabriella Windsor, Queen Letizia, Queen Maxima and more royals attend King Constantine's funeral - live updates
Last modified on Jan 16, 2023 12:06 GMT Danielle Stacey The Princess Royal and Lady Gabriella Kingston were among the royals to travel to Athens for former King of Greece, Constantine II's funeral on Monday.
Constantine, whose first cousin was Prince Philip, shared a close relationship with his second cousin King Charles, who even named Constantine as William's godfather. William himself would go on to be named godfather of Constantine's first grandson, Constantine Alexios. The Princess Royal was joined by her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, at the service. Anne cut a sombre figure in a black button-up coat and knee-high boots. Queen Magrethe of Denmark was seen looking at the order of service. Ahead of the funeral, a post was shared on the Danish royal family's social media page that included a number of family photos, including snapshots showing the late king with his wife, Princess Anne-Marie of Denmark – Margrethe's younger sister.
