Princess Anne, 74, visited the Wings for Warriors charity in Cheltenham, speaking with guests and learning about the organization's mission to train wounded, injured, or sick service personnel and veterans as professional pilots.

Princess Anne, 74, visited the charity Wings for Warriors in Cheltenham. The organization, located at the Gloucestershire Airport Training Facility in Staverton, trains wounded, injured, or sick service personnel and veterans as professional pilots. The Princess Royal was seen smiling and speaking with guests during the visit. She was presented with wings worn by test pilot Peter Wilson on the first ever landing of an F-35 plane on HMS Queen Elizabeth.

The charity aims to help veterans rebuild confidence, capabilities, and pride, providing them with skills for a sustainable future. Wings for Warriors announced last June that it would be opening a new flight training school in Gloucestershire in late 2024. Commenting on the new school, Charity founder and CEO Mark Radcliffe said, 'What we do isn’t just about flying. It’s about opening the unique and privileged world we exist in as aviators and using it to inspire inspirational men and women in need of some luck to aim high and keep going.' Despite her busy schedule, which includes more royal engagements amid King Charles's cancer battle, Princess Anne is expected to continue her work with charities. This follows a head injury sustained last June which the royal has said she 'can't remember a single thing' about. After the incident, she was taken to hospital on June 23 with minor head wounds and concussion. Princess Anne appears to have made a full recovery and returned to work three weeks later
