Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were spotted chatting with the actors, who costar in the new movie Treasure, before settling in to enjoy a match from the royal box.
Though Kate Middleton is the patron of the All-England Lawn Tennis Club, she hasn’t made an appearance at the group’s Wimbledon tournament so far this year, though she did personally send a tweet congratulating tennis star Andy Murray about his retirement from the sport. In her stead, other family members have enjoyed the tournament from the Royal Box, including Kate’s parents Michael and Carole Middleton.
Later, all four were focused on the action as Jannik Sinner played against Daniil Medvedev in a quarterfinal match. Fry has a long history with the British royal family, and in 2020, he appeared in a skit with Prince William during a COVID-19 fundraising special, playing an updated version of his character from the 1980s comedy Blackadder. In 2023, Fry also played the king in the movie adaptation of Red, White and Royal Blue.
