The Duchess of York has reminisced about life with her late sister-in-law Diana and revealed a never-before-heard story about the night the royals were briefly arrested.
Appearing on the Kelly Clarkson Show to promote her new romance novel, Fergie told Clarkson about the time she and Diana dressed as policewomen for Fergie’s hen's night in 1986.

The Duchess of York’s relationship with Diana predated her time as a royal as they ran in similar social circles and their mothers were friends. However, once Fergie married Prince Andrew, Diana began to resent her new sister-in-law, who immediately got along well with the outdoorsy Royal Family.
“I tried, wrote letters, thinking whatever happened didn’t matter, let’s sort it out,” Fergie told a magazine in 2018. Later in her Kelly Clarkson interview the Duchess of York shared more memories about Diana, who she called “Dutch”.
