Norwegian Princess Martha Louise has married the controversial Derek Verret, who claims to be a shaman and has spoken of his ability to communicate with spirits, since stepping down from her royal duties
Princess Martha Louise, the eldest child of the Norwegian king, has tied the knot with a man who professes to be a shaman. The controversial American, Derek Verret, and the princess exchanged vows in a ceremony that followed three days of celebrations that were so lavish, Netflix even bought the film rights to their extravagant wedding!
Rediess took his own life on 8 May 1945, following the collapse of the Third Reich in Norway. She recounted: "When I moved into this room, I became terribly afraid of the dark. And there was a man staring at me." Earlier this year, ahead of her nuptials, Martha Louise attracted attention by using her Royal title on bottles of gin, launching the product despite her father King Harald's earlier injunction against utilising Royal status for personal gain. The label has since been altered.
Martha Louise, current fourth in line to the Norwegian throne, announced in 2022 her decision to cease formal representation of the Royal house. She has three children with former husband Ari Behn, from whom she split in 2017 following a marriage of 14 years.
