Man released from hospital after having 17 stitches, says Ministry of Justice
The incident happened on Sunday morning, the Ministry of Justice said. The male officer was taken to hospital but has since been released. Mark Fairhurst, the Prison Officers’ Association national chairman, said the officer had received 17 stitches in his neck after being attacked with a razor.
