BUTUAN CITY – The Police Regional Office-13 has deployed hundreds of personnel in the Caraga region to secure the traditional Simbang Gabi or dawn masses that started on Monday, Dec. 16.
“Our field troops are already moving to make this Yuletide season more peaceful,” PRO 13-Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said. “Our security is already in place in all of the places of worship regionwide as directed by our PRO 13 chief.”
Meanwhile, 344 new police recruits, composed of 279 patrolmen and 65 patrolwomen, were sworn in at the Police Regional Training Center Caraga in Barangay Lipata, Surigao City on Dec. 10. He reminded them of the noble purpose behind their decision to join the police and offered words of encouragement for their upcoming training.
