A 41-year-old man from Northampton has been sentenced after a burglary in March. Among the things stolen was a bank card, which the burglar then fraudulently used three times before he was caught.
Phillip Gordon Dennis, previously of Northampton, broke into a home in Badeslade, Boughton, on March 13, 2022. He proceeded to steal a stole a mobile phone, cash and bank card. He then went on to fraudulently use the bank card at three separate locations. Northamptonshire Police's Burglary Team were alerted and an investigation was launched.Dennis was identified as the offender, arrested and subsequently charged with two counts of burglary and three counts of fraud by false representation. He originally pleaded not guilty to the offences.
However, when he appeared before Northampton Crown Court on Monday, October 17, Dennis changed his plea.
