The firm was taken to court over five of its rental properties in Bootle
A Merseyside property firm has been fined £25,000 and ordered to pay a further £3,000 after pleading guilty to managing unlicensed properties in Bootle . Lev Liverpool rented out five properties without submitting licensing applications and was managing them without a license. CEO of Lev Liverpool, Chen Haim Lev was in attendance at South Sefton Magistrates court on Tuesday December 10 and was represented by Ellie Twist from Atlantic Chambers barristers.
Landlords must meet conditions such as obtaining a license, ensuring properties are safe and meeting basic quality standards. The council said it has used the scheme to improve the management of privately rented properties, including the removal of over 3,000 health and safety hazards from licensed properties - including fire safety, electrical hazards, damp, mould and excess cold.
