Dame Prue Leith will not appear in this year's Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer, opting to take a break and pursue other passions. Caroline Waldegrave OBE, a longtime friend and former Managing Director of Leiths School of Food and Wine, will replace Prue as co-judge alongside Paul Hollywood, Alison Hammond, and Noel Fielding. The show returns in spring 2025 with a star-studded cast of contestants.
Dame Prue Leith will not be part of the upcoming Celebrity Bake Off special. In her place, longtime friend and former Managing Director of Leiths School of Food and Wine, Caroline Waldegrave OBE, will join Paul Hollywood , Alison Hammond, and Noel Fielding as co-judge.
The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer is set to return in spring 2025 with a star-studded lineup of contestants including Amelia Dimoldenberg, Kate Garraway, Meera Syal, Phil Wang, Jim Howick, Sarah Beeny, Adam Buxton, Scarlette and Stuart Douglas, Ellie Goldstein, Gloria Hunniford OBE, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Roman Kemp, Jamali Maddix, Maxine Peake, Chris and Rosie Ramsey, Self Esteem, Tommy Tiernan, and Sophie Willan. These celebrities will face the Signature, Technical, and Showstopper challenges, vying for the coveted Star Baker title. Prue Leith, who has been co-judging the celebrity version since 2017, announced her decision to take a break in 2024. She explained that the continuous filming schedule from April to August left her with no time for other pursuits. Prue will, however, continue to appear in the regular and US versions of the show. While taking a break from the celebrity special, Prue has been keeping busy with other projects. She recently revealed herself as the second celebrity, Pegasus, on The Masked Singer UK.Earlier this year, there were concerns about Noel Fielding's future on the show after his Apple TV+ show, The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin, was canceled mid-production due to health issues. However, his representatives confirmed to Metro that he would be returning to the series as planned.
