Emma Bond was awarded £31,000 in compensation after a tribunal in Belfast unanimously ruled in her favour.

A former senior Police Service of Northern Ireland officer has been awarded £31,000 compensation after winning a sex discrimination case against her former employer.In findings published on Tuesday, it stated her claim of sex discrimination was "well-founded".Its Chief Operating Officer, Pamela McCreedy, said: "It would, therefore, be inappropriate to comment further at this time.

Ms Bond alleges she had expressed concerns about working practices during this period and was subsequently discriminated against by her employer. One complaint resulted in her being served with a notice for potential misconduct, but it was later withdrawn after an independent review found it could not be upheld.
