A passport was 'left behind' in the damaged Mercedes
Police are hunting a driver who abandoned a vehicle after "colliding with a police officer, lamppost, and a police vehicle". PSNI Newry Mourne and Down said the incident happened on Thursday evening after Downpatrick cops were involved in a pursuit in the Comber area.
A passport was found in the abandoned and damaged Mercedes after the driver fled the scene. Police said: "Efforts will now be made to locate and arrest him."A post shared by police in both Newry Mourne and Down and Ards, North Down on Facebook read: "Officers from Downpatrick were involved in a pursuit in the Comber area this evening.
"His car was located abandoned a short time later.
