Please read our Please read ourThe 2024/25 Premier League season is fast approaching for every Newcastle United fan.An ideal time to get a snapshot of views from Newcastle United fans on how they think things are going.Positive, excited and cautious You can’t believe what he says in pressers cos he’s not beyond misleading journalists on things like injuries and transfers.

I think Kelly has shown he offers something to our defence we don’t currently have too. Namely a bit of pace, but his ball playing ability is, I feel, better than Burn’s as well. And it’s good that Hall is a permanent member of the squad now. He took a while to get up to Eddie’s speed but he’s shown what he can offer over the last few months and he’s an exciting addition., I think, had some unfair criticism before and after he signed, but I think he’s ideal for our needs.

Name a Newcastle player who you think could be a massive surprise success this season, doing far better than most fans expect. A new stadium for me. I get that a lot of fans have an emotional connection to SJP but to move forward we need to move on. Stadiums need to be more than a match day venue these days, they need to bring in income 360+ days a year and I feel like creating a SJP that can do that and increase capacity is a huge and complex ask.

I don’t honestly care and I know that will not go down well with some, but I’m not originally from the area and I really don’t get the levels this rivalry can reach. In my mind derbies are played between clubs in the same city/town. Sunderland aren’t even the same administrative department. For me, I’d rather beat teams that are a challenge and prove we deserve a cup. Right now, Sunderland – with all due respect – are not that.

Could things be better? Yes. We could have Guehi already and Torres and we could have sold some of those unneeded players to ease PSR, but I’m confident the season ahead is going to be exciting and successful.Pretty worried, but not just for Newcastle, I think the player market and careers will be affected by PSR.

Chelsea are spending incredible amounts of money under these current owners and appear to have a rule book all of their own in terms of what they are able/allowed to do. What do you predict will happen to Chelsea, will it all suddenly collapse like a deck of cards or will they simply continue doing as they are and potentially competitive on the pitch as well?
