Officers burst into the Earl of Balcarres pub and found a man upstairs
A pub has voluntarily shut 'until further notice' after a man was discovered upstairs and arrested following the recovery of £3,000 worth of suspected drugs. Greater Manchester Police reported that officers stormed upstairs at the Earl of Balcarres pub in Scholes and found a 30-year-old man from Bootle . He was arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs and taken into custody.
They stated that the pub was closed at the time of the incident and that they are cooperating with the police investigation, reports the Manchester Evening News . A post shared by GMP Wigan on social media read: ' entered the Earl Of Balcarres public house where a 30-year-old male from Bootle, Merseyside, was located in an upstairs room and discovered an estimated £3000 of suspected Class A drugs and a quantity of cash.
