A much-loved family-run pub in Dumbarton is set to have new owners next month.

The family of the former landlord Drew Busby of the Waverley Bar will leave the business next Friday - which will mark a year since he passed.

Drew, best known in Scottish football circles for his six-year spell playing for Hearts in the 1970s, had been the landlord of the Waverley Bar for decades before he sadly passed away aged 74 following a period of illness in July last year.Sharing the latest news on social media, the Waverley Bar said:"It is with mixed emotions, that we wanted to share with you, that the Busby family are exiting the business at close of play on Friday, June 30.

"Please come and toast our family's final night and raise a glass to 'the' Drew Busby and all of the team at The Waverley. They have all been amazing over the last year, stepped up to the mark and delivered a fantastic service on behalf of Drew. We could not have done it without them.
