Hole in the Wall in North Sherwood Street is now boarded up
A Nottingham pub has closed with immediate effect after the owners said they needed to protect their ‘mental health, sanity and future’. Hole in the Wall, in North Sherwood Street, which was part of the Nottingham Gay Quarter collective, decided to close last Wednesday with the owners Aaron and Drew Grimshaw-Sparks releasing a statement on social media to explain why.
“We don’t want pity or signs of defeat, we just want our own home, a 9-5 job and to spend time with each other. Thank you for everyone’s continued support whether you’re a group of students who have loved our Wicked Wednesdays, attended one of our drag shows, quiz nights, parties, celebrations and most importantly the laughter along the way.”
