The pup’s owner was “terrified” when her young dog suddenly began suffering vomiting, diarrhoea and became extremely drained.

A puppy was “at death's door” after catching a killer bug which is on the rise in Glasgow according to leading vets.

The 24-year-old rushed him to Vets Now in Glasgow for treatment where he was put into critical care before thankfully making a miraculous recovery. Louise has no idea where he caught the virus and is urging other owners to be on high alert for warning signs, as Vets Now continues to admit pets with the condition.

Dr Lara Wilson, a lead vet for Vets Now, told the Glasgow Times the recent puppy boom could be the reason the disease is still spiking. “It is so important that animals are protected against the illness because it is so infectious and can be really nasty, it is easily fatal.
