Islamic State released on Saturday a photo of what it said were the four attackers behind a shooting rampage that killed at least 143 people in a concert hall near Moscow on Friday, the militant group's Amaq news agency said on Telegram. Russian authorities said on Saturday they had arrested 11 people including four suspected gunmen in connection with the attack.
They were Makhmadrasul Nasridinov, 37, Rivozhidin Ismonov, 51, Shohinjonn Safolzoda, 21 and Rustam Nazarov, 29.Russian FSB security service officers were 'working with' the suspects who were detained. A US intelligence official told The Associated Press that American agencies had learned the group's branch in Afghanistan was planning an attack in Moscow and had shared the information with Russian officials.The Kremlin said Russian President Vladimir Putin was informed minutes after the assailants burst into the venue.
