The pair were seen hugging and smiling on the tarmac at Pyongyang’s airport after Mr Putin arrived in the early hours of Wednesday morning . He said the threat posed by North Korea in relation to the war in Ukraine was “nominal” and the real danger lying in the possible consequence of a Moscow-Pyongyang alliance.
In exchange, Moscow gives North Korea economic assistance and technology transfers that would enhance the threat posed by Mr Kim’s nuclear weapons and missile program.Ahead of Mr Putin’s visit, the streets of the North Korean capital were decorated with portraits of Putin and Russian flags.
