Star Trek John de Lancie Q TNG Voyager DS9 Picard

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Q is already one of the most powerful beings in the Star Trek universe, but when he unlocks his ultimate form, he becomes even more so. In 2015’s Star Trek #40, first published by IDW, Q decides to subject the Kelvin timeline crew to his antics. However, matters quickly spiral out of control, forcing Q to receive a power boost from a most unlikely species, making him Star Trek’s ultimate being.

Star Trek #40 is written by Mike Johnson and drawn by Tony Shasteen. Q reveals to Kelvin Kirk that he altered the timeline as a way of enlisting the crew’s help in defeating the Pah Wraiths. Earlier, the last remaining Bajoran Prophet was freed, and they promptly took possession of Ben Sisko before jumping to Kelvin Spock. Finally, Spock realizes what must be done: he transfers the Prophet to Q.

Q is immensely powerful, capable of traveling nearly anywhere in existence. Q was able to cross universes and timelines. He goes to the Kelvin Universe to teach Kirk a lesson. Kirk refused to believe in “no-win” scenarios, and Q wanted to show him the error of his ways. In order to do so, Q went as far as to create a new timeline, a potent if not overblown display of power. Yet Q has limitations, including the Pah Wraiths and his own mortality, as seen in Picard season two.

Q's Ultimate Form Makes Him the "God" of the Star Trek Universe There May Be No Upper Limit to the Power of Q's Ultimate Form Q’s ultimate form redeems any shortcomings he may have. Previously, the Pah Wraiths were winning their war against the Q Continuum, but after the assistance from the Prophet, Q wiped them out as if they were nothing. Furthermore, Dukat, under the sway of the Pah Wraiths, opened fire on Q.
