Qantas will pull out of Seoul, leaving the South Korea n capital to its low-cost carrier Jetstar . The change is planned for June 2025, but overall capacity will increase on the Sydney to Seoul route as Jetstar goes from flying there four times per week to seven. There is no change to the three times per week Jetstar flights between Brisbane and Seoul. Speaking exclusively to 7 NEWS , Qantas Loyalty CEO Andrew Glance said the move will add 100,000 seats between Australia and South Korea .

The listed flight time is 10 hours 35 minutes. The return flight JQ48 is an overnighter, departing Seoul at 9.50pm and arriving in Sydney at 10.05am the next day. “We were the first low-cost carrier to launch direct flights between Australia and South Korea’s capital Seoul from Sydney in November 2022,” Jetstar executive manager Jenn Armor said.
