The Qatar Airways chief has broken his silence on the government’s controversial decision to block the airline’s bid for increased flights in Australia.
The Gulf carrier was seeking to operate an extra 21 flights a week into Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in a bid launched last year and ultimately rejected by the government last month.
Akbar Al Baker said he was hopeful about the government changing its mind.
