The Quezon City government opened on Thursday, Jan. 12, the newly renovated “Alley 44” walkway in Barangay UP Village in the city.

According to the city government, the 54-meter long walkway will connect the streets of Maginhawa and Malinis Streets.

It added that the walkway is part of the city government’s efforts to create more open spaces in the city. Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte led the ribbon-cutting activity along with Councilors Marra Suntay, Imee Rillo, Nanette Castelo Daza, Raquel Malañgen, District 4 Action Officer Al Flores, Parks Development and Administration Department Head Architect Nancy Esguerra, and the Barangay UP Village council.
