"This week, I received a letter from mayors and leaders of the Torres Strait, begging me to raise an issue with the Premier," Mr Crisafulli continued. Mr Crisafulli said he raised the issue with Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, claiming her solution was to"vote for the Voice". Over the next four years, the state government is injecting $42 million into maternity units, which will include the expansion of obstetrics and gynaecology services in regional and rural areas.
