TheQueen attends Champions Day at Ascot in blue ensemble without walking stick

The Queen looked beautiful as she attended Champions Day at Ascot racecourse this weekend in a striking royal blue coat and hat, in her second visit to the prestigious event since the death of her husband Prince Philip earlier this year.Only days ago she was seen with a walking stick on a visit to Wales to officially open the Welsh Senedd.

The striking outfit was aptly paired with black gloves and shoes and she wore pearls around her neck as she arrived for the day’s events. Her appearance at the races in June came just months after the death of her beloved husband, who passed away aged 99 on Friday 9 April. Royal expert Kate Nicholl told OK! earlier this year that some of her closest confidantes were by her side on the day."Those she's closest to, such as Prince Edward, his wife Sophie Wessex and Prince Andrew will move their schedules around to make sure they can spend the day with her."
