The Queen Consort Camilla has been forced to postpone a visit to the West Midlands on Tuesday after contracting a "seasonal illness", Buckingham Palace has said in a statement.
However the Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire, the King's representative, confirmed today that the visit has been postponed. Camilla was due to visit Elmhurst Ballet School in Edgbaston, Birmingham, on Tuesday, to celebrate its centenary, and later that day a library in Telford to thank staff and representatives from outreach and voluntary groups for their contribution to the community.
The special Royal visit had been eagerly anticipated by those who expected to meet her tomorrow, from local schoolchildren and the Abraham Darby Show band due to welcome her arrival to members of charity organisations.
