The lying in state of Queen Elizabeth has finished - with tens of thousands of people having paid their respects to the monarch.Westminster Hall has now been closed, and the doors to Westminster Abbey are expected to open at around 8am to let in the congregation for the funeral later this morning.The sun has risen on the last day the Queen will spend in London.
Met Office Meteorologist Alex Burkhill said:"There is a small chance of the odd shower through the afternoon, most likely around 3pm or 4pm." Westminster Hall will now close as the coffin is prepared to move to Westminster Abbey for the funeral later today.She says the Queen was"an amazing lady who will never be replaced".
Later today, the Queen will be laid to rest with her husband Prince Philip at the King George VI Memorial Chapel in Windsor. - The King and other Royal Family members who are walking in the procession will join it at the quadrangle on the north side as it passes into Engine Court.7.30pm
