Queen gifted Princess Beatrice extremely expensive present but Fergie rejected it
The late Queen Elizabeth absolutely adored all of her grandchildren and always made sure they had some great gifts for special occasions.
In 1997, when the girls were just seven and nine, the Queen acquired the lavish Birch Hall for the girls and the Surrey mansion, which has seven bedrooms, was held for the sisters to use when they were older. However, according to the Mail, Fergie reportedly declined moving into the property, claiming she couldn't afford the huge upkeep costs.
"The house itself is a very attractive and imposing-looking property. Some of the rooms are really quite dramatic, with high ceilings and full floor to ceiling sash windows.
