Before she settled into the Royal Family, Kate Middleton jetted off on luxurious holidays – but the late Queen was not impressed and reportedly advised her to get a 'proper job'
The late Queen once made a 'stinging' remark to Kate Middleton about how many luxury holidays she'd been on and it seems she took it to heart.
In the honeymoon years of their relationship, William and Kate were regularly seen holidaying on the Caribbean island of Mustique with the Middleton family, or on frequent ski trip in the Alps. The book went on to claim that such "frivolous displays of wealth were unpalatable to the Queen" and that Her Majesty reportedly believed any relationship announcements about the couple should be "postponed until Kate was settled in a career."
While there, they enjoy activities like family picnics, barbeques, long walks, fly fishing and deer-stalking in the utmost privacy.Prince George was even spotted being carried off the plane by his mother in 2015 for a trip to the exotic villa which was once owned by Princess Margaret.
