Tens of thousands of people are expected to pay their respects to Britain's longest-reigning monarch by going to see her coffin as it lies in state at Westminster Hall in London.The coffin, accompanied by Princess Anne, is being taken from Edinburgh to London by air. It will move from RAF Northolt by hearse to Buckingham Palace, where the sovereign's piper will play a lament as the coffin is carried to the Bow Room to lie at rest overnight.

At about 14:20 BST, the coffin will be carried on a gun carriage of the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery, with the King and some members of the Royal Family walking behind - although it is not yet confirmed which ones. The procession will also include members of the Queen's Company 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards and dismounted members of the Life Guards and Blues and Royals of the Household Cavalry.

People will be able to watch the procession in person at ceremonial viewing areas along the route, at:Horse Guards Parade GroundWhitehall , Parliament Street and Bridge Street A screening site will be set up in nearby Hyde Park. The viewing areas and screening will open at 11:00 BST on Wednesday.After the coffin is placed in position in the hall, a short service will be held, attended by the King and members of the Royal Family.
