Queen's Park have signed Celtic's Adam Montgomery, with the full-back potentially making his debut against Rangers in the Scottish Cup last 16.
The Celtic social media would probably have been too busy tweeting goals from their Dundee demolition.
But Queen’s Park managed to get some Parkhead signing news out after they landed Hoops kid Adam Montgomery - with the announcement on X coming at half-time of the match at Parkhead! And now the full back could be set to face his parent club’s rival’s Rangers in a daunting debut in Sunday’s Scottish Cup last 16 tie.
The Spiders come up against the Light Blues and Callum Davidson is buzzing over his latest recruit. He worked with him at St Johnstone and has no doubt how big a role he can play at Hampden until the summer. He told the Queen's Park website: “We are extremely pleased to be bringing Adam in. He is a player I know well having worked with him previously at St Johnstone and we know he will add real quality to the squad.
"He can play in a number of positions down the left hand side and that flexibility will be very important to us in terms of giving us options down that side of the team. We have absolutely no doubt he will have a big role to play for us for the remainder of the season.”
