Queen Elizabeth II has left behind a large family who will be mourning her loss
Queen Elizabeth II will be remembered by history as the longest serving British monarch after reigning for 70 years.
Harry was already in the UK with his wife Meghan Markle and the pair were set to attend an event in London on Thursday night, a plan they cancelled upon learning of the Queen's ill health. "One thing about the Queen is she has to manage being a grandmother but also how it affects the wider institution," a royal insider told PEOPLE Royals.An insight into the pair’s special bond was shown when Harry asked his grandmother to join him for a playful video to promote the Invictus Games back in 2016.
“Six years later, it’s clear there are few, if any, members of the Queen’s extended family who would have the confidence and the humour to ask the Queen to take part in such a stunt,” PEOPLE writes.
