Multiple aircraft and boats looking for man who was allegedly seeking to evade police when he jumped into Fitzroy River near Rockhampton

After a short foot pursuit near the Rockhampton CBD, the man jumped into the Fitzroy River in order to evade the officers, police allege, and has not been seen since. Police and emergency services say they have been using multiple aircraft and vessels to search the river, which is home to a small local crocodile population.
