Quentin Tarantino believes Alec Baldwin is partly to blame for the fatal 'Rust' shooting of Halyna Hutchins: 'The actor is 10 percent responsible. It's a gun. You are a partner in the responsibility, to some degree.'
"It's a gun. You are a partner in the responsibility, to some degree," the "Pulp Fiction" director said of actors handling firearms., the host asked the acclaimed director for his thoughts on the October 2021 incident, in which Baldwin, 66, fired the prop gun that killed Hutchins, the film’s cinematographer.
Pointing out that there is generally a procedure in place, which is detailed for the actor handling the firearm, he added, "If there's steps to go through, you go through them, and it's done with due diligence. And you know it's f----in' for real."Hutchins was killed and the film’s director, Joel Souza, was injured when a prop gun that Baldwin was holding"An actor’s job is not to be a firearms or weapons expert,” the statement read.
